JCK Foundation Team Workshop 7/30
The John Jay Soccer Program is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the JCK Foundation, a remarkable organization dedicated to enhancing mental wellness in schools, teams, businesses, and communities. Through fostering open conversations, sharing inspiring stories of mental health resilience, and connecting individuals with vital mental health resources, the JCK Foundation embodies a commitment to promoting positive mental well-being.
The JCK Foundation is excited to visit John Jay High School on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM for a Team Workshop in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Soccer Programs, offered at no cost! This workshop aims to convey the foundation's core values through the context of team sports, providing athletes a safe and empowering space to express themselves. Tailored specifically to the challenges and pressures athletes face, the workshop will explore essential aspects of team dynamics, leadership, toughness, and resilience. It will unify team and individual goals while addressing topics crucial to our program.
Moreover, the workshop will directly apply the foundation's principles to athletics, fostering a culture of mental wellness within our John Jay Soccer community. It aims to equip student athletes with coping mechanisms and strategies tailored to their unique challenges, ultimately enhancing both team and individual performance in an inclusive and supportive environment.
This is an unbelievable opportunity for the members of the John Jay Soccer Program. Again, the workshop is open to all members of the John Jay Soccer Program, from Varsity through Modified, as well as anyone who participates in Winter or Summer Programs -- all players are welcome, and strongly encouraged to attend! We would like to kindly, yet firmly, urge everybody within the program, no matter the level, to clear their schedules of anything that isn't absolutely necessary in order to attend this Team Workshop if at all possible.
