John Jay Soccer Alumni Drafted to the Texas Outlaws!

We are thrilled to announce that 2020 John Jay graduate Ray Troche, one of the best and most talented players in the history of the John Jay Soccer program, has been drafted in the 2nd Round of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) draft by the Texas Outlaws! The MASL is the highest level of professional indoor soccer in the United States. This is a phenomenal accomplishment for Ray, whose dedication, skill, and sportsmanship have shone brightly throughout his career, and a proud milestone for our John Jay Soccer community.

Ray’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. As a Patriot, he earned All-Section Honors in both his Junior and Senior seasons and led the team as captain in his final year, where he was honored as the League 1-A Player of the Year. These accolades highlight Ray’s talent, leadership, and relentless drive to excel.

His accomplishments extend far beyond the John Jay Soccer field. Ray’s selection to FC Malaga City NY’s USL 2 roster as one of only three players under 19 exemplifies his elite skill level and adaptability, as he quickly made first-team appearances among seasoned players. With his remarkable size, speed, and strength, paired with exceptional technical skill and tactical intelligence, Ray has shown he has what it takes to perform at the highest levels of the game. Beyond his physical abilities, his outstanding character and commitment to his team make him a respected leader both on and off the field.
