Tykie Johnson Joines MLS Next Team

For the second time in under a month, the entire John Jay Soccer Program would like to extend a huge congratulations to Class of 2026 rising 11th grader Tykie Johnson on earning a well-deserved spot on the Beachside Soccer Club U16 MLS Next team, currently ranked 11th in the U16 MLS Next Standings! Tykie had a strong Freshman season for the Junior Varsity Patriots as a Goalkeeper in the Fall of 2022, and showcased his talents this past Summer as well! This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to Tykie's hard work, dedication, and talent on the field. We are all incredibly proud and can't wait to see him continue to shine and reach new heights in his soccer journey. Keep up the great work!
