Speed & Agility Running Clinic

On Monday March 4 and Tuesday March 5, John Jay Soccer will be holding a free Speed & Agility Running Clinic on the John Jay Track from 2:35 - 3:15 PM each day. Players should wear running shoes, dress appropriately (weather may be cold and/or rainy), and be on time.


The Speed & Agility Running Clinic, led by Coach Brent DeVittorio and the John Jay Soccer Coaching Staff, will focus on improving running technique, preventing injuries, and enhancing speed and agility for soccer players. The program will emphasize proper running mechanics to reduce common soccer-related injuries like hamstring, calf, and quadricep strains. Coach DeVittorio's expertise in track and field enhances the clinic, incorporating sprinting drills, acceleration techniques, and plyometrics to improve athletes' speed and agility. This holistic approach aims to develop well-rounded athletes with the skills to perform at their best while minimizing injury risks, ensuring long-term success in soccer.
